6:00 AM – Rise and Shine
The day begins early at Max Heating and Cooling. After my morning coffee, I check the day’s service schedule while the sun hasn’t yet risen over Saugus. Today’s looking busy with several emergency calls from overnight.
7:30 AM – First Call in Melrose
Our first stop is a residential furnace inspection in Melrose. The homeowner reported unusual noises, and after a thorough diagnostic check, it’s just a loose blower belt – an easy fix that brings immediate relief to the customer.
10:00 AM – Emergency Call in Winchester
Mid-morning brings us to Winchester where an elderly couple’s heating system completely stopped working. The Massachusetts winter isn’t forgiving, and these are the calls we prioritize. After troubleshooting, we identify a failed igniter and get their system running again.
Key Tasks Throughout the Day:
- Performing preventive maintenance checks
- Replacing worn components
- Educating homeowners about system care
- Documenting all service calls
2:00 PM – Furnace Replacement in Arlington
The afternoon involves a complete furnace replacement installation. These jobs require precision and teamwork, but there’s nothing more satisfying than providing a family with a reliable new heating system.
5:00 PM – Final Call in Wakefield
As the day winds down, we handle one last service call in Wakefield. After ensuring all our customers are warm and comfortable, it’s time to head back to base, restock the truck, and prepare for another day of keeping our Greater Boston communities cozy and warm.
Every day brings different challenges, but that’s what makes working in HVAC so rewarding. At Max Heating and Cooling, we’re not just fixing machines; we’re helping families stay comfortable in their homes throughout Lynnfield, Wakefield, and beyond.
